Director Shamil Aliyev has been invited to the 7th Art Independent International Film Festival (Kerala, India) as a member of the jury. The presented films will be judged by world-famous directors together with our compatriot.
Shamil Aliyev's film "Cholchu" was again awarded the prize, Qadin.Net reports citing axşam.az. The film won the Best Feature Film award at the Rome International Movie Awards 2020, an online festival dedicated to the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy.
According to the director, the reason why the 2012 film "Cholchu" is on the agenda is due to the urgency of the question raised by the screenplay. The anthropological catastrophe between the globalizing world and national free culture is the essence of the film.
It should be noted that the film "Cholchu" produced by the "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio by the order of the Ministry of Culture has participated in 93 international film festivals covering 5 continents and won more than 55 different awards.
The script of the film is written by Vidadi Hasanov, cameraman Rafig Guliyev, artists Rafig Nasirov and Ibrahim Aminov, producer Mushfig Hatamov. The film stars Vidadi Hasanov, Bahruz Vagifoglu, Javidan Mammadov and others.
