Money will be distributed to residents of the Australian state of Victoria in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.
The statement came from the region's Prime Minister Daniel Andrews on Twitter, Qadin.Net reports.
According to local authorities, people with or in contact with coronavirus symptoms during a pandemic do not report their condition, abandon their isolation regime and go to work for fear of losing their earnings. In this regard, the government has announced a lump sum payment of A $ 300 (AZN 363) to residents of the region who will take the COVID-19 test. This amount will compensate the person who is waiting for the test results at home.
If the test is positive, the person will receive an additional A $ 1,500 (AZN 1,816) to cover the income shortfall during the period of compulsory isolation.
