Counterfeiters found in Baku
The incident took place on August 21 in a shop on Majidov Street in Yasamal district.
The police received information about the issuance of five counterfeit 50 manat banknotes to buy a phone from the store, and on August 23, a counterfeit 50 manat banknote was issued from a doner house on 20 Yanvar Street in Nasimi district.
Khaladdin Mammadov, born in 1992, and Rashad Hajiyev, born in 1991, were detained as a result of search operations carried out by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Baku Main Police Office.
Counterfeit printing presses and eight counterfeit 50 manat banknotes were seized from their apartment.
Investigations are underway.
