The reason for the refusal of Astarkhan (Astrakhan) fashionable hats in the Russian army has been announced.
Alexander Vasilyev, a fashion historian and presenter of the popular Russian TV show Modny Prigovor, explained the rejection of newborn lambskin hats in the army: "This is a manifestation of a humane attitude towards animals. Russian President Vladimir Putin has banned army generals from using Astrakhan hats made of lamb skin at the suggestion of the Defense Ministry.
