The Azerbaijani Embassy in Washington has appealed to members of the community living in the United States in connection with the attack and injury of peaceful Azerbaijani protesters by Armenian radicals in Los Angeles.
Gadin.Net reports quoting AzerTaj that the appeal reads:
"As you know, after the repulse of the Armenian military aggression against our country and the heavy blows inflicted on the enemy, the criminal activities of radical Armenian extremists against our compatriots have increased in various parts of the world, including our diplomatic missions in the United States.
Our compatriots have conveyed their legitimate voices to the US public through successful rallies and counter-rallies in various US cities and exposed the lies of Armenian lobbyists. Unfortunately, Armenian radical circles brutally attacked peaceful Azerbaijani protesters during a rally in front of the Consulate General of our country in Los Angeles, and some of our compatriots were subjected to violence. As a result, several of our compatriots received serious injuries.
We wish our injured and abused compatriots a speedy recovery. We express our deep gratitude to each of our compatriots for his patriotism and national unity, as well as for raising the voice of our people in the world.
By the order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani state will pay for the medical expenses and related legal assistance of our compatriots injured in the July 21 violence in Los Angeles. These issues should be addressed to our Consulate General in Los Angeles.
Given the increasing number and degree of violent actions and provocations of Armenian radicals, we urge our compatriots to be more careful and cautious, to be aware of the tendency of Armenian radicals to violence, and to immediately contact local law enforcement agencies in case of any violence, threat or danger. In addition, it is strongly recommended that you coordinate with local law enforcement and ensure that security is fully ensured when participating in any action or event.
At the same time, we ask our compatriots to apply to the Embassy of our country in Washington and the Consulate General in Los Angeles, which is responsible for the relevant consular circles in the United States, for possible consular assistance in cases of violence and threats.
It should be noted that California and 12 other western states of the United States, including Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming belong to the consular section of our Consulate General in Los Angeles.
