The recent fluctuations in coronavirus infection statistics in Azerbaijan indicate that the virus is still active, pathogenic and continues to infect humans.
The statement came from Gulzar Aliyeva, scientific secretary of the Research Institute of Lung Diseases, pulmonologist, in an interview with REAL TV, Gadin.Net reports. He noted that the fact of infection also depends on when people go to the clinic and the time of tests.
According to the doctor, in fact, the number of new infections with the virus in recent days can be considered a large number for our population:
"If the state had not taken preventive measures, this figure could have been even higher. Currently, there is an increase in the number of virus infections not only in our country, but all over the world. Some people have a very high level of consciousness, they pay attention to their families and themselves, they follow the rules. The rules are also very simple: hand hygiene, wearing a mask, being in the air, keeping social distance, and so on. Unfortunately, some people do not follow it, they do not believe in these facts. No matter how many restrictions are imposed, they celebrate birthdays, mourning ceremonies and gather indoors. As a result, there are more infections. "
G. Aliyeva stressed that the greatest aggression of this virus is that it can be contagious from the moment a person is infected until the moment the disease manifests itself.
