The Tartarchay Left Bank and Xanarx canals, which are part of the Tartarchay hydro junction irrigation system, will be reconstructed.
Gadin.Net reports that this was reported by Azerbaijan Amelioration and Water Management OJSC.
It was noted that a consulting company will be selected to prepare a feasibility study and design for the reconstruction of canals in these areas. An open tender has been announced for this purpose.
It should be noted that the reconstruction of the Tartarchay Left Bank and Khanarkh canals will further improve the water supply of about 20,000 hectares of arable land in Tartar, Goranboy, Yevlakh and Barda regions. Reconstruction is carried out in accordance with the Action Plan approved by the Presidential Decree dated July 27, 2020 "On additional measures to ensure the efficient use of water resources."
