Prevention of COVID-19 disease in schools, proper conduct of necessary work in medical centers, health protection and at the same time "On approval of temporary rules for the organization of teaching and educational process in educational institutions operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan during the special quarantine" dated 10.09.2020 In order to investigate the compliance with the requirements of Resolution No. 332, members of the working group of the Ministry of Health conducted monitoring in the medical centers of schools operating in a number of districts of Baku (Yasamal, Nasimi, Binagadi, Narimanov, etc.).
The statement came from Esmira Hajiyeva, head of the outpatient service department of the Baku Main Health Department. He said that as a result of the inspections, additional pediatricians and nurses were involved in order to strengthen the provision of medical services by school medical staff, as well as children's polyclinics in the service area.
"Every student and teacher who comes to the school is taken to a special quarantine room and placed in a thermometry, if the temperature is detected. After that, the school and the local polyclinic are immediately notified, and if the child falls ill, the parents are informed. In addition, medical centers were provided with alcohol-based disinfectants and medicines for first aid.
The head of the sector said that close work was organized between the heads of children's health and educational institutions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Esmira Hajiyeva said that the inspections revealed a number of difficulties in the work of school medical centers. According to him, instructions were given to eliminate the difficulties and brought to the attention of the management of medical institutions:
“On October 12, a large meeting was held at the Baku Main Health Department with the participation of the management of all medical institutions providing outpatient services to children, detailed information on the identified difficulties and instructions to strengthen the organization of the work process.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the initial diagnosis of students in educational institutions is carried out by medical staff working in the area. That is why they have a great responsibility. I would also like to note that our doctors and nurses are coping with this task with honor, "said Esmira Hajiyeva.
