Turkish scientists Professor Ugur Sahin and Ozlem Tureci, the founders of BioNTech, who discovered the coronavirus vaccine, were named "Person of the Year".The British Financial Times (FT) named them Person of the Year.The vaccine was developed by Pfizer, a US pharmaceutical company, and BioNTech, a German biotechnology company co-founded by Turkish scientist Professor Ugur Sahin.The use of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine, which is 95 percent effective against the coronavirus, has been officially approved in major countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States.
