STATEMENT on bringing coronavirus vaccine to the country from a doctor
An agreement was signed on September 18 between the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance and GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines).

According to the agreement, when the WHO (World Health Organization) produces an approved vaccine that is effective in combating COVID-19 and meets the requirements, Azerbaijan, along with other member countries of the organization, will soon be provided with an approved vaccine:

One of the important requirements for vaccines that can be used is that the vaccine is effective and safe. The vaccine must have at least 50 percent protection against the virus and minimize side effects.
The COVAX platform was established by GAVI, CEPI and WHO to involve countries in multilateral platforms. COVAX is a system with an invaluable mechanism that allows you to use a portfolio of safe COVID-19 vaccine offers by evaluating a wide range of vaccine candidates using a variety of technologies.
The main goal of the COVAX platform is to accelerate vaccine production in the fight against COVID-19 and to create fair and equal access for all countries. Of the 30 vaccines currently in the clinical trial phase, only six are being tested in the third clinical phase. As research continues, it is not yet possible to comment on the efficacy and safety of vaccines.
However, given that the leading vaccine candidates have already received a large number of pre-orders, given that the volume of this demand exceeds their production capacity, it may not be possible to fully meet subsequent orders in the near future. Taking this into account, on September 18, 2020, an agreement was signed between the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance and GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines).
It should be noted that GAVI was founded in 2000. The organization is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
