1.Know how much sleep your family needs
Knowing how much sleep your family members need is important in creating a successful sleep pattern. Experts say newborns should spend between 12 and 18 hours a day asleep. The number of hours spent asleep decreases with age. Those between the ages of 3-5 need to sleep 11-13 hours a night, and those between the ages of 5-10 need 10-11 hours a night. Young people need 9 and a half hours of sleep, but it cannot be said that they do this. Now that we know how many hours family members need to sleep, all that remains is to organize what time they should be in bed.
2. Make Your Sleep Time a Habit
Habits make our lives easier. Determining the time of going to bed and working on it is very important in establishing sleep patterns. For example, if you decide to send your children to bed at 19.30 in the evening, this means that you have to prepare them for sleep one hour before bed time. Start reminding them little by little at 18.30; Make sentences that will make you feel like they are dealing with whatever they are dealing with and that it is now time to sleep. A few minutes ago, say "Come on, our activities are over", have them collect all their toys in the playrooms and direct them to their beds.
3. Turn the Lights Off
If you have young children, it is easier to turn off lights in the house and turn off electronics while preparing for bed. But when children get older, turning off electronic devices, especially, can become a struggle. In such cases, determine the sleeping time with your child. Agree that at that time everyone and everything in the house should be put on silent mode. For example, for a successful sleep pattern, go to sleep mode at 22:00 on weekdays and at 23:00 on weekends. This order will become a habit after applying it as a family for a few weeks.
