The family recognized the man after a photo of a homeless man who had his hair cut for charity was spread on social media. It turned out that he went missing 10 years ago. According to the Times Now News, the incident took place in Brazil.
Joao Coelho Gimares went missing in 2010. He wandered the streets and collected garbage for 10 years to survive. Recently, Alessandro Lobo, a businessman who owns a men's clothing store and a barber shop, offered food to Guimares, whom he saw near the establishment. The Brazilian refused, but asked the barber to fix it. "Then we decided to help the homeless and organize a beauty day for him," said Lobo.
After the man's hair and beard were trimmed, Gimares was presented with three shirts, pants, a jacket and new shoes. Lobo then took a picture of Gimares and shared it on social media under the title "Before and After the Change" to encourage other entrepreneurs to help people in need. The man's change spread like wildfire on social media. The sharing also attracted the attention of the Brazilian's relatives. They met the man after recognizing him. "Relatives saw the photo and contacted me because Gimares did not have a phone number or permanent address. It's Christmas and I wanted to show you how little you need to change someone's life.
