The publication of the spelling dictionary will be completed in late September.
Director of the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), academician Mohsun Nagisoylu told APA.
The academician said that the publication also included words that are not included in any dictionary:
The dictionary will be handed over to the publishing house on September 15. We have added new words to the spelling dictionary to be published. For example, the word "postpandemic" does not appear in any dictionary. It is a new word in our life, it means "after the pandemic".
One of the words that did not fit into any dictionary was the word "thank you" included in my selection. But it is a common word. "The words 'selfie' and 'selfie' were also very commonly used words, and we have included them in a new edition."
