On August 12, 2020, at 15:45, the Agency received information from the ″ 102 ″ Service Call Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs about the discovery of a shell in the basement of apartment 26, Khagani Street, Tovuz.
According to the report, the Agency's special mobile operational and dog training groups consisting of specially trained dogs searching for explosives and employees of the Tovuz Police Department of the Interior Ministry were immediately sent to the area.
Specialists of the agency and employees of the Tovuz District Police Department inspected the area. The area was cordoned off by police to ensure security. As a result of urgent search operations carried out by the Agency's specialists, one non-explosive (empty) 82 mm mortar shell (O-832) was found and taken to the Agency's central destruction area.
An area of 12 square meters around the mortar shell was inspected, no dangerous objects and devices were found.
