7 reasons why the usury is forbidden by religion

It can be concluded from the hadiths that there are seven reasons why riba is haraam.

Let's get acquainted with them:

1. Material corruption. It can be concluded from the hadiths that usury leads to the destruction and corruption of capital. Therefore, it is like stealing. Usury is like stealing because it causes corruption. Imam Reza (as) said: "Allah has forbidden stealing because it causes corruption."

2. Usury is oppression. Our hadiths say that usury is oppression. According to Imam Riza (as), usury leads to corruption, oppression and destruction of property. The Qur'an also confirms that usury is oppression. "And if you do not (and continue to usury), then believe in the war from Allah and His Messenger (know that such a war will befall you, and the true government or a society that has reached the point of explosion will take it back from you). If you repent. but your investment is yours, and you will not be wronged, nor will you be wronged. " ("Beqere" 279).

3. Usury destroys property. There is a difference between corruption and destruction. Usury destroys a person's wealth.

4. The number of opportunistic people will increase. One of the troubles of Salam is that the number of people who seize the opportunity will increase and people will refuse to lend free of charge.

5. They forgot to lend on interest. Interest eliminates the culture of lending. Imam Reza (a) said: "Allah has forbidden usury, lending, which is a well-known deed, is not forbidden."

Lending is one of the factors that help a person to reach maturity. However, usury prevents man from this evolution and causes him to fall.

6. To consider usury as a sin. Salam means to oppose the command of Allah. It is a grave sin to disregard usury and it causes disbelief.

7. The reason for forbidding usury is to revive the debt. Our hadiths say that usury is forbidden so that people do not refuse to lend, but the culture of debt is revived. Because lending evolves a person, but usury, on the contrary, destroys a person.

Because when a person lends, the real part of the property is protected. However, the additional income will reach the borrower. However, in usury, both the original goods and the income reach the usurer. That is why riba is forbidden by religion.
