Polad Israyil oglu Hashimov was born in 1975 in Gabala. He graduated from high school in Sumgayit. He studied at the Higher Military School in Azerbaijan and the Academy in Turkey. Polad Hashimov was awarded the Medal for Military Service in 2003 by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev as a major. Six years later, in 2009, Polad Hashimov was awarded the medal "For the Motherland" by the order of President Ilham Aliyev as a lieutenant colonel.

He has 3 children, two sons and a daughter. Her daughter is his eldest child and has not yet finished high school. He served in several battle zones, such as Murov and Dashkasan.
