A resident of the US state of Minnesota became a mother twice in a few weeks. According to WBAL, one of her daughters was carried by her mother. Kelsey Pierce, 31, has suffered from infertility.
She has made numerous unsuccessful attempts to have children over the past three years, undergoing several surgeries and in vitro fertilization procedures. But all was not well, and the couple ran out of money.
In the end, the doctor offered them to use the services of a surrogate mother. But Pierce said he could not afford it due to lack of money. His mother, Lisa Rutherford, 53, volunteered to carry her granddaughter.
Pierce initially disagrees, but eventually agrees with his mother. After Angel Rutherford underwent surgery, Pierce learned that she was pregnant. Doctors called it a miracle.
The mother and daughter kept in touch and supported each other during pregnancy. Both children are currently healthy. The mother still can't believe the reality of what happened and admits that she is happy, even though she is very tired.
