The movement of the baby in the womb

The first movement of the fetus is usually felt by the woman as a movement of the wind in the intestines. The first movement of the fetus is one of the most exciting and unforgettable feelings during pregnancy.

The fetus begins to move from the 8th week of pregnancy. However, it is still very small and does not touch the walls of the uterus when swimming in stagnant water. As the fetus develops, its weight increases, and the fetus begins to make stronger movements and touch the walls of the uterus. In the first pregnancy, it occurs approximately in the 20th week of pregnancy, in repeated pregnancies - 2 weeks earlier. Skinny women may feel the fetus move faster, while obese women may feel it slower due to excess subcutaneous fat.

The location of the couple also plays a role here. When the couple is located in the anterior wall of the uterus, the movement of the fetus is felt later.

When the fetus first moves, remember this day and mark it on the calendar. The doctor will definitely ask about it. This is a very important date. Based on this date, it is possible to determine the approximate date of birth. In the first pregnancy, 20 weeks are added to this date, and in subsequent pregnancies, 22 weeks are added.

From the movement of the fetus, its location can be understood. The limbs are where the fetus is most active. If the most active impulses of the fetus are felt close to the diaphragm (the muscle that separates the thoracic cavity from the abdominal cavity), it means that the baby's head is down. If the most active shocks are felt in the lower abdomen, then the baby's head is up. Please note that by the 34th to 35th week of pregnancy, the baby can hold the position needed for childbirth (with the head down).

From the 24th to the 32nd week of pregnancy, the baby is very active, very active. Later, the "home" becomes narrower for the grown-up child, and his activity gradually decreases. In the week leading up to birth, the baby moves very little. But these actions must be felt!

Usually, women feel better when the baby is sitting or lying down. Sometimes women complain that they do not feel the child when doing housework, and as soon as they lie down, they start to move very actively. This is normal. When a woman walks and does housework, her stomach shakes and she likes this child, soothes him and puts him to bed. Towards the end of pregnancy, the mother and baby usually sleep at the same time and stay awake.

The woman must pay attention to the changes in the movement of the child. If the child moves differently than usual, it may be a sign of any disorder. A sharp decrease or no movement after very strong, irregular, restless movements may indicate hypoxia (lack of oxygen). This situation is dangerous. The reason is the lack of pairs. Acute malnutrition can lead to fetal death.

If the child has not moved for 3 hours, do not worry. Most likely, the child is sleeping. However, if the child does not move for 12 hours, consult a doctor immediately!

The mother should try to understand the movements of the unborn child. Thus, if the mother lies on her back for a long time, it causes the blood vessels of the uterus to constrict, which in turn disrupts blood circulation and the child begins to suffer. The fetus begins to move more to "deliver" it to the mother. The mother needs to understand the baby and change his situation.

The mother should talk to the baby in her womb. The child likes it, soothes him. Sing to the child, tell a story.

At the end of pregnancy, the baby's movements sometimes cause discomfort and even pain to the mother. In this case, change the position of your body, caress your abdomen, talk to the child for a while
