CAUSES OF VOMITING IN BABIES ...

Some babies vomit a small amount, sometimes a few mouthfuls. These vomiting usually occurs during the first months, shortly after the baby has been fed. Because in newborns, the sphincter between the esophagus and the stomach is immature and the mucus that cannot be discarded can be removed in this way. In older babies, milk or food mixed with air during feeding may pass up the esophagus.
