Our tricolor flag is waving in the heart of Karabakh

Today is National Flag Day in Azerbaijan. The tricolor flag of Azerbaijan was adopted as a state symbol at the meeting of the Government of the Azerbaijan People's Republic (APR) on November 9, 1918. After the Bolshevik occupation on April 27, 1920, the flag of the Popular Front was replaced by the red sickle-hammer flag of the Azerbaijan SSR. It was restored by the decision of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan AR on November 17, 1990 and was adopted as the state flag of the autonomous republic. On February 5, 1991, by the decision of the Supreme Soviet of Azerbaijan, the current tricolor and moon-star flag was declared the state flag of the independent republic. By the decree signed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on November 18, 2009, November 9 is marked as the National Flag Day.
The President also sent a proposal to the parliament to amend the Labor Code on the occasion of National Flag Day. Evaluating the proposal, the Milli Majlis amended the Labor Code, and according to the amendment, the National Flag Day is a non-working day. It should be noted that the author of the formula "Turkism, Islamism and modernity", which expresses the three colors of the national flag of independent Azerbaijan and constitutes the three basic principles of our ideology of national independence in the early twentieth century, is a prominent Azerbaijani thinker Ali bey Huseynzade. This year, National Flag Day is celebrated in a particularly significant atmosphere. On September 27, 2020, in response to the new military aggression of the political and military leadership of Armenia against Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Army launched a counter-offensive. As a result, the Azerbaijani Army liberated five cities, 215 villages and three settlements in Fuzuli, Zangilan, Jabrayil, Gubadli, Tartar, Khojavend and Khojaly regions occupied by the Armenian armed forces.
The Azerbaijani flag is already flying in the cities of Jabrayil, Fizuli, Zangilan, Gubadli and Shusha, over the settlement of Hadrut. November 8 can be considered the most significant day in the new history of Azerbaijan. On this date, the Azerbaijani Army liberated Shusha, the pearl of the Caucasus, the cradle of Azerbaijani culture, from enemy occupation, and our tricolor flag is flying in the heart of Karabakh. "Dear Shusha, you are free! Dear Shusha, we are back! Dear Shusha, we will revive you! Shusha is ours! Garabagh is ours! Karabakh is Azerbaijan! ”, - these words of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev give confidence that Karabakh, liberated from enemy occupation, will flourish again and become one of the most charming powers of Azerbaijan.
