"The operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers can assess all the parameters and decide to ease the quarantine regime after January 18." The statement came from chairman of the parliamentary committee on labor and social policy Musa Guliyev.
According to Guliyev, there are enough grounds to ease quarantine:
"The tightened quarantine, which has been applied since December last year by the decision of the operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers, has had a significant effect. There is a significant decrease in the number of infections and deaths. Of course, this was achieved through strict adherence to the rules by citizens. Our citizens understand the gravity of the problem and show responsibility. The results are good, both the number of infections and the number of deaths from the virus have decreased. Therefore, it is necessary to soften. But this does not mean that the virus is over.
Even after some time after vaccination, it is necessary to use a medical mask, as well as to follow the rules of hygiene. The chairman of the committee stressed the importance of gradual mitigation, as in practice: "What decisions will be made will be announced by officials. But I think that the SMS permit can be revoked, work can be resumed in some areas, the subway can be opened. In general, the list is determined by the members of the operational headquarters. Initially, only the operational headquarters will announce what decisions will be made, in what areas activities will be resumed.
