Armenian invaders destroyed small hydropower plants in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, especially in Kalbajar, Lachin and other regions, dismantled their useful equipment, burned or blew up what they could not carry. According to Azerenergy, none of these power plants is in good condition and completely destroyed.
It was noted that repair work has been underway at the 8-megawatt Gulebird Small Hydroelectric Power Station in Lachin for some time and is nearing completion. Equipment damaged during the fighting - machine rooms, units, generators, control panels, transformers of the station are replaced or repaired with new ones. At the same time, the pipe that carries water from the Hakari River to the hydraulic units, which exploded during the fighting, is being rebuilt.
As a result of rapid work carried out on a rotating basis, it is planned to put into operation the Gulebird Small Hydroelectric Power Station in the near future. For this purpose, special brigades, contractors and specialists were involved. Initially, the voltage generated by the 10 kV generator at the Gulebird Small Hydroelectric Power Station will be transmitted to nearby military units in Lachin and Gubadli, and in the future via a high voltage line to a new 110 kV substation to be built in Gubadli.
