One of the unnamed streets of Guba is named after the National Hero of Azerbaijan Polad Hashimov.
According to Modern.az, a plaque with the name of the martyred major general has already been placed on the street.It should be noted that Major General was heroically killed on July 14, 2020 during heavy fighting in the direction of Tovuz while preventing an attack by the Armenian Armed Forces.He was named a National Hero on December 9, 2020 by the order of President Ilham Aliyev.
