The National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) plans to purchase new equipment to clear our liberated lands. Idris Ismayilov, Chief of ANAMA Operations Headquarters, told Sputnik Azerbaijan.
We use the fifth generation Bojena. Now we plan to buy a more modern analogue. We also inspect drones. We are satisfied with the initial result. But we have not been involved in operations yet. We appealed to the drone manufacturers to add some parameters, "Ismayilov said. UAVs allow you to obtain more accurate geographical coordinates of the area and facilitate the search.
At the same time, ANAMA has expanded its staff, increasing the number of sappers from 400 to 600. However, the organization does not intend to be satisfied with this, because in the next few years it must clear all the liberated territories of the republic from mines.
