Our veteran, whose family was martyred: "When he talked to my father, he didn't believe me, he said you were a martyr" - INTERVIEW

Historical victory of Azerbaijan. One of the most memorable events of 2020 was the Patriotic War for the territorial integrity of our country. 2823 servicemen of our Armed Forces were killed in the war. Our veterans, who fought hard in the 44-day war that led to victory, made history. One of them is Akbarov Khayal Huseyn oglu. Kh.Akbarov was born in Saatli region. Our 24-year-old veteran, who said that there were four people in the family, was on the front line from the first days of the war. According to Gadin.Net, during a conversation with Oxu.Az, Khayal Akbarov said that he was among the first groups to fight in the direction of Fizuli: "On September 27, we started fighting in the direction of Fizuli. When the fighting broke out, we had no contact with our family. Although they were worried, the situation on the front was very good. It was clear from the very first days of the war that we would win. The enemy fled the battle in front of our army. We were moving forward hour by hour. " "When I was in the war, my family received the news of a martyr" ... Khayal says that while fighting with his comrades-in-arms, his family was mistakenly told that he had been killed. "I did not know, my friends told me later.
My family was told that I had been killed during the war. All the residents of the district gathered at our house to say goodbye. I can no longer imagine how the situation arose. October 1 is my father's birthday. It occurred to me to call him as soon as I had the opportunity. Let me congratulate you and say that I am safe. My father did not believe me when he called. Then I knew something had happened. My father told me that you are not my son, my son was martyred. (laughs). He did not believe me that I was speaking. He gave the phone to my brother. After my brother, my mother picked up the phone and I talked to her. Finally, they believed that I was the one speaking. I'm fine. " On October 9, the enemy fired on the positions of the Azerbaijani army: “When we were in the direction of Garakhanbeyli village of Fizuli region, the enemy fired on our positions in the afternoon. With retaliatory fire, we put the Armenian servicemen in place. After a while, they fired mortars again. The shell landed near us.
My comrades-in-arms were wounded and killed. I got my first wound there. " "I had a clinical death, they thought I was dead" Khayal says that for a moment he believed that he was dead: "It simply came to my notice then. My arm was under my martyred brothers. My left arm did not have a shoulder bone. I found strength with my right hand and pulled my left arm out from under my martyred comrades. When I tried to get up, a mortar shell fired again hit me. Its wave threw me two meters away. I was seriously injured then. The blow broke my back, and after that I could not move my body. " "Blood flowed from my shoulder instead of water" Khayal, who stayed on the battlefield for a while, says he survived thanks to his comrades-in-arms who arrived 10 minutes early:
"I also took part in the April fighting. I did not experience the war for the first time. But I was shocked by the pain because I had lost so much blood. I turned my face to the sky with force, brought the word of martyrdom and said "Allahu Akbar". My friends saw me, but it was impossible to approach. They fired non-stop. The more I saw bullets in my head, the less I hoped to survive. I tried to walk to my friends in a herd of 6-7 meters. Thankfully, they were able to pick me up. Then I was sent to the hospital. I received the news of the victory in the hospital. I am very happy that I have fulfilled our duty to the motherland. " It should be noted that, in accordance with the relevant orders of President Ilham Aliyev, Khayal Akbarov was awarded the medal "For the release of Gubadli" and "Brave Warrior".
