The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov congratulated the personnel of the Azerbaijani Army on the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year. The congratulation says:
"Mr. officers, comrades, midshipmen, cadets, sergeants, soldiers, sailors and civilians! I heartily congratulate you on the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year, and wish you good health and success in your honorable service. As a result of the decisive and far-sighted policy of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, the economic foundations of our state were formed, and our independence became eternal and irreversible. At the same time, the Great Leader made invaluable contributions to the formation of the national self-consciousness of our people and ensuring the solidarity of Azerbaijanis around the world. As a result of this policy, which is being duly continued, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, is carrying out purposeful reforms for the development of our statehood.
The steps taken to further increase the military power of our army, which is considered a priority in the development of our state, are one of the main components of these reforms. Thanks to the important work done under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev to build the state and the army, Azerbaijan's prestige in the world has been growing day by day, and the people's-state-army unity has been further strengthened. Thanks to the heroism and bravery of our servicemen in the successful counter-offensive launched by our army against the provocations of the Armenian armed forces under the leadership of Muzaffar Supreme Commander-in-Chief, our historical lands occupied for 30 years were liberated. Thanks to the wise policy of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the strength of our army, the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was restored. Today, our tricolor flag is flying majestically in the lands liberated by the brave Azerbaijani Army.
The grand Victory Parade dedicated to the Great Victory in the Patriotic War on December 10 in Freedom Square is another confirmation of the invincibility of the Azerbaijani Army, which is gaining strength day by day under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. I respectfully commemorate all the martyrs who died for the protection of the independence and territorial integrity of our country, congratulate their parents, families, fighters, veterans and personnel who lost their health for the Motherland, and wish them good health, happiness and family happiness.
