The professions of accountants, truck drivers and taxi drivers are at risk of becoming obsolete in the next 10 years. According to Izvestia, this was stated by the head of the Russian job search service SuperJob Alexei Zakharov. According to him, the demand for accountants is declining against the background of increasing digitalization and the mass transition to electronic document management, and unmanned vehicles may replace drivers in the future.
"All the new trucks that will leave the assembly line are either currently being re-equipped for unmanned operations or are considering such an opportunity in the very near future," he said. Zakharov said that in the coming years, the profession of foreign language teachers is also at risk: this is largely due to the development of technology. He noted that the effectiveness of e-translation services has increased, and language learning has become a hobby for many.
