As it is known, photos were shared on social networks about the sale of drug packages for coronavirus patients in pharmacies, which allegedly belong to the Medical Territorial Units Management Association (MEDA). According to the information given by the Medical Territorial Units Management Union, the statement was made by the Medical Territorial Units Management Association on 18.12.2020: "Initially, we stated that the packages do not belong to the Medical Territorial Units Management Association.
As a result of our two-day research, it became clear that these drug packages, which are sold in some pharmacies, were prepared on the personal initiative of Avromed Company LLC. However, a mistake was made by the warehouse staff during the preparation of the packages. During the packaging, the employee of the company accidentally placed in the package of medicines not flyers belonging to the "Avromed Company" LLC, but flyers belonging to the Management Association of Medical Territorial Units, which were prepared for sampling in the warehouse. As soon as the problem arose, the packages were withdrawn from pharmacies.
We would like to remind you that the Medical Territorial Units Management Association provides inpatient treatment in all hospitals in the country and provides medicines to people treated at home in Sumgayit, Absheron and other areas, except for Baku. At the same time, with the exception of Baku, polyclinics and emergency medical services in these areas are under the control of the Medical Territorial Units Management Association. In case of refusal to provide these packages, please inform the 24-hour hotline of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance at 1542 or the Doctor's number at + 99451513-1542.
