The Ministry of Internal Affairs has warned citizens about accounts that deceive people by opening fake accounts on social networks in the name of the country's leadership.
The head of the Interior Ministry's press service, police colonel Ehsan Zahidov, said that fake accounts were created on social networks in the name of the country's leadership, and the addresses of various sites were shared on those accounts with paid advertising:
"When you enter the specified addresses, you will be directed to advertising sites and registration and card information will be requested for access. In this way, attempts are made to steal the card information of users who enter their data.
In this regard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other relevant government agencies have taken the matter under control and launched an investigation. The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges our citizens not to believe in such fake accounts and to be vigilant when using social networks.
