By the Decision of the Board of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population dated December 18, 2020, the working time norm and production schedule for 2021 were approved. The working hours for 2021 state that the Labor Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On the establishment of Victory Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan" dated December 3, 2020 and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan "Novruz, Ramadan for 2021 According to the Resolution No. 483 of December 3, 2020 "On the determination of the days of Eid al-Adha", the following days in 2021 are not considered working days:
January 1, 2 - New Year's holiday;
January 20 - National Day of Mourning;
March 8 - Women's Day;
March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 - Novruz holiday;
May 9 - Victory Day over fascism;
May 13, 14 - Eid al-Fitr;
May 28 - Republic Day;
June 15 - National Salvation Day of the Azerbaijani people;
June 26 - Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
July 20-21 - Eid al-Adha;
November 8 - Victory Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
November 9 - National Flag Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan
December 31 is the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis.
Due to the coincidence of non-working days with non-working days in 2021, January 4, 25, March 26, May 10, June 28 in a five-day working week, March 25 and May 10 in a six-day working week . In 2021, there will be 241 working days in a five-day working week (8 of which are pre-holiday and national mourning days), 109 non-working days off (5 of which coincide with non-working days) , there are 19 non-working holidays (5 coincide with weekends) and 1 National Day of Mourning. In Azerbaijan, the normal daily working time may not exceed 8 hours, and the normal weekly working time corresponding to the normal daily working time may not exceed 40 hours. As a rule, a five-day working week with two days off is established. For 2021, the annual norm of working hours in a 40-hour work week is 1920 hours. When applying a six-day working week, when the weekly norm is 40 hours, the duration of the daily working time may not exceed 7 hours, and the duration of the working day, which is a day off immediately the next day, may not exceed 6 hours. In workplaces with a six-day work week, a 1920-hour annual work norm should be applied to those working in a 40-hour work week.
