The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a new decision on customer service in public catering facilities, including restaurants, cafes and tea houses in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan under a special quarantine regime.
The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 488 dated December 8, 2020 defines the "List of areas of activity that need to be continued during the special quarantine regime in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan." Areas of activity provided for in this List can operate on all days of the week until 00:00 on January 18, 2021.
According to the list, public catering facilities, including restaurants, cafes and tea houses, can operate only on the basis of delivery services or online sales. The main purpose of this regime is to prevent the risk of infection during on-site customer service due to the large number of people indoors (halls, rooms, etc.) in public catering establishments. From this point of view, delivery (submission) of pre-orders in public catering facilities to any place or customer waiting in front of the service facility is in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.
