The number of FIFA referees in Azerbaijan has been increased. AFFA has announced the number of FIFA referees in Azerbaijan for 2021. For the first time in the history of football refereeing in Azerbaijan, a female referee is also included in this list. We are talking about Yulia Gurbanova. Thus, the number of FIFA referees allocated for Azerbaijan has increased by four. There has been a change in the composition of our referees who will be appointed to international matches.
Aliyar Agayev and Rauf Jabbarov will be able to go to international matches again. However, Rahim Hasanov was replaced by Elchin Masiyev. The number of assistant referees has also changed. Akif Amirali, Zeynal Zeynalov, Namig Huseynov, Elshad Abdullayev, Parvin Talibova, Javanshir Yusifov, Gulnura Akbarzade and Sevda Nuriyeva joined. Yusifov's name was added to the list instead of Mubariz Hashimov, who ended his career due to injury. As for futsal referees, after Hikmet Gafarli, Ali Jabrailov and Knyaz Amiraslanov were also awarded FIFA degrees.
