There are rumors on social media that those who wear cloth masks during the days of strict quarantine will be fined. The current views have caused concern among the population.
We appealed to the relevant authorities to clarify the extent to which this issue reflects the truth. Commenting on the matter, Major Elshad Hajiyev, Chief of the Media and Public Relations Department of the Interior Ministry's Press Service, said the allegations were baseless. He said that the police and the Internal Troops do not impose any restrictions on the range or color of medical masks:
"The information spread on social networks on this topic does not reflect the truth. During the special quarantine regime from November 21, it is mandatory to use medical masks in all indoor and outdoor areas and public places in the country. I reminded that the failure to use medical masks or wear them in accordance with the required norms creates liability in accordance with the law.
