Nahid Mikayilov rose to the peak of martyrdom after 34 days of fighting in the Great Patriotic War. Mikayilov Nahid Sovgat oglu was born in 1982 in Shilyan village of Kurdamir region.
After graduating from high school in his native village, Mikayilov went to military service. At the end of his service, he successfully completed the conscription course and returned to the army, and from that day began to work under our Armed Forces. When the war broke out on September 27, he was one of our heroes who fought the enemy on the front line.
He took part in the battles for the liberation of several regions. However, unfortunately, the enemy shell targeted Gizir Mikayilov, and he died of severe shrapnel wounds. The body of our martyr was brought to his native Kurdamir region and buried in the Alley of Martyrs. He left behind three sons. Three soldiers of the future. 3 heroic sons who will follow in the footsteps of heroic fathers.
