Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan drew attention with his influential speeches during his speech at the Victory Parade in Baku today. He was remembered for saying the Azerbaijani bayati:
"Azerbaijani lands have already been reunited with Tartarcha, which we have been longing for for years. The fog over Shusha's head is no longer painful. The nightingale is now free and will open brighter. The crossroads will flow more abundantly. Araz will call out to the Turks more strongly, and the breath singing "Karabakh Tragedy" will be stronger. They divided the territory, They were fed with sand, I would not leave you, They separated by oppression ... Ay Lachin, dear Lachin, I sacrifice you Lachin. Lachin, whose beauty we have sacrificed for, is now free. Like Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Gubadli, Aghdam and Kalbajar are already free. Today is the day when the soul of the Azerbaijani poet, national mujahideen Ahmad Javad is happy. Today is the day when the souls of Nuru Pasha, Anwar Pasha and the soldiers of the Islamic Kars Army are happy. Today is the day when the soul of the leader of the Azerbaijani martyrs Mubariz Ibrahimov is happy. Today is a day of great pride for all of us, for the whole Turkic world. I praise my Lord for giving us this day. Karabakh is Azerbaijan! Karabakh has already embraced its homeland, and 30 years of longing have come to an end. "Turkey and Azerbaijan will continue to overcome all difficulties together."
