Yesterday, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on awarding servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the order, servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who led military operations with high professionalism during the liberation of the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the restoration of territorial integrity, and who showed courage and bravery during military service, were awarded. One of them, Gizir Rufiz Budagov, was posthumously awarded the Karabakh Order.
Budagov Rufiz Shirzad oglu was born in 1977 in Tivi village of Ordubad region of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. After completing his military service, he took a secretarial course. There are four brothers in the family. Our martyr was the eldest son of the family. Budagov's wife Nushaba Budagov says that Rufiz contacted them on the day of his martyrdom: “He was a tank commander. He called me and told me not to worry. At that time, communication was lost. Murov fought heroically for heights. Rufiz was a kind man. There was not much at home related to work. When he came home, it was a holiday for us. He loved his job. Whenever there was a problem with the tank, he dismantled and repaired it himself. He was a man attached to his homeland. He was one of the first to go to war for him.
