Our first doctor killed in the Great Patriotic War - "He threw himself on a wounded soldier to save him"

"Turgut used to allocate 200 manat from his monthly salary for the orphans, the sick and the needy. We found out after his martyrdom. " Nadir Khalilbayli, the father of the martyr Turgut Khalilbayli, who died in the Great Patriotic War, told Trend. According to him, his son always believed that our lands would be liberated from occupation: "Turgut was a very unusual child. As a child, he was able to communicate with everyone, and everyone, young and old, was his friend. Mehriban was a smiling child, she loved everyone. He was a talented child from school years, went to the Turkish lyceum from the sixth grade, and after graduating he entered the Medical University - military medicine. He only came home on weekends when he was studying. There were also high results. After graduating from university, they were assigned to Beylagan. He started working there as a soldier and worked for three years. " According to N.Khalilbeyli, Turgut had to work in the hospital in the rear, but at his own request he wanted to be in the front with his friends:
"I went to him for the last time. We met, he said everything was fine. When he said goodbye, he whispered in my ear so that my mother wouldn't have to worry about where I was. I also told him not to worry, I will come again soon, we will meet. He said, "Father, don't miss it, I will come from Kalbajar on our next visit." Either I have to get in and out of here, or I won't come back. He always believed that our lands would be liberated from occupation. " Almaz Huseynova, Turgut Khalilbayli's mother, said that Turgut's comrades could not be in the front, but in the back: "I did not know that Turgut was at war.
Whenever I spoke on the phone, he said everything was fine. He didn't want me to worry about him. When I found out that he was at the front, he told me that if his comrades were injured there, they must be helped. He was supposed to serve in the hospital, but he voluntarily went to the battlefield. We talked on the phone every day, but I spoke that morning on the day of his martyrdom, and then I could not hear. " Turgut's comrades-in-arms said he was killed while rescuing one of his comrades.
"One day, he and his comrades were hit by shelling in Jabrayil. At that moment, when everyone was in a corner, Turgut was still helping the wounded in difficult conditions. He dragged the three of them to a hollow and collected them. This happened three times, in one of which he was wounded, but threw himself on another wounded soldier to save him, and he himself was killed. The serviceman is alive now and called a few days ago and said that he would come and meet us and get permission. Instead, I told him that my son had died for the Motherland, and that the Motherland should give you halal. " It should be noted that Turgut Khalilbayli was killed in the battles for Jabrayil on October 7. He is the first doctor to be killed in the battles for the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh.
