The 44-day Patriotic War gave Azerbaijan many heroes. One of them is 20-year-old Heydar Huseynov. Our tanker hero took part in the battles in the direction of Aghdam region. According to him, during the intense fighting, there was a sudden explosion in the tank:
"It simply came to our notice then. There were four of us. Each of us tried to leave the tank. In the end, I stayed. I could hardly get out of the tank because my hands, feet and face were burning. I heard my friends calling me. My eyes were clouded with fog, and although I ran, I did not know where I was running. Finally, I met my friends. They brought me to the ditch.
