AN IMPORTANT STATEMENT from Lavrov on the restoration of peaceful life in Nagorno-Karabakh

"We are still coming out of the hot phase of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict." The statement came from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan, Gadin.Net reports quoting TASS.

"I want to emphasize that the joint statement signed by the President of Azerbaijan, the President of the Russian Federation and the Prime Minister of Armenia on November 10 must be recognized today. "This statement put an end to the war and ensured an agreement on the return of both refugees and IDPs to their homes," he said. Lavrov noted that the Russian leadership has decided to allocate additional funds to the budget of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which has been working in Nagorno-Karabakh for many years.

"We strongly support the activities of international organizations that are ready to invest their resources, experience and potential in the restoration of peaceful life (in Nagorno-Karabakh). In particular, the Russian government has decided to allocate additional funds to the budget of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which has been working for many years, both in the region and directly in Khankendi, including Yerevan and Baku.
