Reconstruction of part of the Yevlakh-Khankendi railway has begun

Reconstruction of the Barda-Agdam section of the 104-kilometer Yevlakh-Khankendi line has begun. The statement came from Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, Gadin.Net reported. It was noted that the Barda-Kocharli section of the line is currently operating:
"As a result of the Armenian occupation, as in other areas, the railway infrastructure was damaged. Existing railway lines were destroyed, roads, stations, vehicles (wagons, locomotives) and other facilities were completely destroyed. The total length of the main railway lines (main roads) occupied by Armenia for a long time was 240.4 km. These lines are 144 km in the Horadiz-Ordubad area. In particular, the 43 km railway line passes through the Mehri region of Armenia (Zangazur).
It is 51 km in the Yevlakh-Khankendi area, 39.1 km in the Minjivan-Gafan area and 6.3 km in the Gazakh-Barkhudarli area. We had 23 stations left in those areas, including 5 stations in Mehri district. In addition, 85.5 km of side roads were destroyed during the occupation. Mr. President, under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, our Victory Army put an end to the occupation. Like other organizations, the relevant structures of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC calculate the amount of damage caused to the railways by the hated enemy. Relevant proposals are being prepared for the rehabilitation of the above-mentioned areas of the railways. In particular, the reconstruction of the Barda-Agdam section of the 104-kilometer Yevlakh-Khankendi line has begun. The Barda-Kocharli field is currently working. The CJSC added that other relevant agencies will start major infrastructure projects after completing the necessary work in the area, especially after the mine is cleared of mines.
