19-year-old martyr Khatai Hasanov, though young, reached the peak of martyrdom with his death. He fought the enemy without fear and cherished his homeland. Khalig Hasanov, the father of our martyr, says that at the last meeting his son asked him to be honest. Khatai Hasanov was born in 2001 in Govlar settlement of Tovuz region. After 3 sisters, the family had an only son.
He went to military service before the fighting began. He participated in the Second Karabakh War and fought bravely against the enemy. Before rising to the summit of martyrdom, he took part in the battles in the direction of Aghdara, Jabrayil and Talysh villages.
He last spoke to his family on October 30, the day before his death. Martyr Khatai Hasanov told his mother Gabila that "you will be proud of me." The mother of martyr Khatai Hasanov says that her son has been interested in the military since childhood. He always wore military uniforms and was always interested in the military field. However, his family did not want him to become a soldier because he was the only child in the family. Khatai Hasanov was heroically killed in the battles in Garagoyunlu village of Aghdam region while rescuing his commander. Today, not only his family, but the entire Azerbaijani people are proud of him. It should be noted that Khatai Hasanov is the first martyr of Govlar settlement of Tovuz region in the last 30 years.
