11,000 manat will be given to the families of martyrs - OFFICIAL

The families of our heroes who died in the battles for the territorial integrity of our country and our people who lost their health in these battles are covered by a comprehensive social security system in accordance with the instructions of the President.

This was stated by the head of the Public Relations and Communications Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (MLSP) Fazil Talibov. According to him, the opinion of some social network users that the families of martyrs and war invalids are provided only with pensions stems from ignorance. They are also covered by other social payments (pensions, benefits) and social programs. - Insurance payment (11,000 manat) is paid to the heirs of the martyr. - Insurance indemnity is paid to war invalids (8800 manats for persons with 1st degree disability, 6600 manats for persons with 2nd degree disability, 4400 manats for persons with 3rd degree disability). In addition, members of the martyr's family and war invalids: - Depending on the length of service, a pension or benefit is paid (average amount 400 manat);

- In addition to the insurance part of their labor pension (55-110 manats) is paid; - The monthly pension of the President (210-300) is paid;

- Children of martyrs' families and war invalids and themselves are exempted from paying tuition fees; - Prosthetics and rehabilitation aids are provided free of charge; - Free referrals are provided once a year for sanatorium-resort treatment; - They are preferred in active employment programs (self-employment, paid social work, etc.);

- A mandatory quota has been set for all employers (public and private) to ensure their employment; - Tax, labor legislation, etc. for members of the martyr's family and war invalids. A number of benefits are also provided for. Most importantly, the state provides apartments and private houses to the families of martyrs and invalids of the Karabakh war, as well as cars to war invalids in need of improved housing conditions. So far, about 9,000 apartments and private houses, as well as about 7,000 cars have been provided to this category of people. This program is currently being successfully implemented. Thus, the families of martyrs and war invalids receive an average of 700 manat a month on a monthly basis, along with housing and a car, as well as a lump sum insurance payment. Regular work is being done to further improve these payments and their social protection.
