Russia and Turkey have agreed on a joint ceasefire control center in Nagorno-Karabakh, and the number of personnel from both countries will be equal. The statement came from Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov, RIA Novosti reported. Earlier, the Turkish Defense Ministry announced the signing of an agreement with Russia on the establishment of a joint monitoring center to monitor the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh.
"According to the memorandum signed between the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey on November 11, an agreement was reached on the location and management of the Russian-Turkish Joint Monitoring Center for ceasefire control. The center will be located in Azerbaijan. The number of Russian and Turkish staff in the organizational structure of the joint center will be equal, "he said.
