Every city and village in Karabakh has its own carpet traditions. Historically, the carpets produced here have resonated all over the world. Talented artists of this region have woven mysterious carpets, reflecting their worldview, philosophy of life and artistic taste in the loops. Taking this into account, during the days of the Second Karabakh War, the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum prepared a "Karabakh carpet map" and presented it to its visitors:
“It should be noted that in this map, carpet samples belonging to each city and region were depicted in black and white. As our sacred lands were liberated from occupation, the "Karabakh carpet map" was painted in bright colors. Today, the long-awaited day has finally arrived. We already present you the "Karabakh carpet map" in full color. Thanks to the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the strength of our brave army, our people, who have longed for Karabakh for many years, will return to their homeland. Our brides will once again weave mysterious, unique carpets in Karabakh that reflect the spirit and feelings of the Azerbaijani people. ”
