Some streets and avenues in Baku have separate lanes for buses. The statement came from Baku Transport Agency (BTA) spokesman Mais Agayev, Gadin.Net reports. According to him, it has already allowed the organization of special bus lanes on 10 more streets and avenues:
“New lanes are being laid on Ganja, Gara Garayev, Ataturk avenues, Mikayil Huseynov, Mahammad Hadi, Abbas Mirza Sharifzade, Rashid Behbudov, Ahmad Rajabli and Muzaffar Rahimov streets. The main goal is to reduce the number of passengers observed during the peak hours of the day and in the evening. "A lane has already been set up on Mikayil Huseynov Street. In the coming days, special signs will be put up in the area, and drivers must comply with it. Even after the lanes, ambulances will be able to cross the road, "he said.
