"The current situation in our country is that the number of infections continues to grow. The effectiveness of the measures taken depends on the extent to which the population follows the rules. The statement came from Tayyar Eyvazov, chief infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of Health, in response to a query from Oxu.Az.
According to him, factors such as the fact that people do not seek treatment and do not isolate themselves make the situation worse: "Self-medication, on the one hand, aggravates the patient's condition, on the other hand, leads to the spread of infection. The increase in the number of acute respiratory viral infections due to the season complicates this issue. Because the initial clinical signs of these infections are similar to the symptoms of a new coronavirus infection. It is difficult to separate them, it should be done only by a specialist. That is, if a person does not pay much attention to the mild symptoms that appear in the first days of the disease, and thinks that it is a common cold, he spreads the infection around because he does not isolate himself. "Therefore, a person who feels fever, lethargy, weakness, catarrhal symptoms, etc., must go to the clinic. That is, from the first day at least under the supervision of a doctor. At the same time, he should isolate himself while staying at home, wear a mask, and make sure that other family members follow it. Everyone must protect themselves. In addition to strict and correct adherence to protective rules, they must organize their daily work so that there are no unnecessary contacts, "said the chief infectious disease specialist.
