On the instructions of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijan State Agency for Motor Roads continues to restore roads leading to Sugovushan and Talysh villages of Tartar region, which were liberated from Armenian occupation as a result of counter-offensive operations by the Azerbaijani Army on October 3. . Roads with a total length of 28.5 km are being restored in accordance with two technical standards.
The width of the asphalt-concrete pavement of the road, which will consist of two wide lanes, will be nine meters. Roads leading to Sugovushan and Talysh villages of Tartar region were completely destroyed and destroyed due to long-term enemy occupation. At present, unusable soil is being excavated along the road, backfilling works are being carried out with suitable soil, the soil is being expanded and profiled and a new road base is being built. The construction work is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the "Construction Norms and Rules" and under the direct supervision of the management of the Azerbaijan State Agency for Motor Roads. For this purpose, the necessary number of personnel and equipment were involved in the area.
The construction of a landfill and road base on the 21 km section of the road from Tartar to Sugovushan village is nearing completion. The road is ready for asphalting. In addition, the construction of a 7.5-kilometer road from Sugovushan to the village of Talysh has begun. At the next stage, it is planned to build an eight-kilometer road from Chayli village to Talysh village, as well as a new 22.5 km road from Talysh village to Tap Garagoyunlu village to Gashalti Garagoyunlu village. With the connection of these roads, it will be possible to move in this direction from the city of Tartar, or alternatively from the city of Naftalan. It should be noted that the roads leading to Sugovushan and Talysh villages were built in the 1970s on the instructions of national leader Heydar Aliyev in connection with the construction of the Sugovushan reservoir. At present, large-scale construction work is underway to restore the historic road to the liberated settlements.
