It was expensive to kiss the clergy who died of the coronavirus

The Serbian Orthodox Church, which has lost prominent figures due to a new coronavirus that has affected the world, has paid a heavy price for failing to comply with epidemic measures, especially at funerals. According to Habin Global, the death of church leader Irininej left the church bewildered, with funerals attended by thousands of people and improper arrangements (kissing the dead) increasing the spread of the virus. He attended the funeral of Amophilohiji, a Montenegrin clergyman who died of a coronavirus. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic also attended the funeral of Amphilohiji, an important Serb cleric in Montenegro.
It was also noted that quarantine rules were not followed at his funeral. People who flocked to the church to say goodbye to religious leaders were offered drinks with the same spoon according to the rites. Bishop David, who presided over Irenej's funeral, was also diagnosed with COVID-19 and hospitalized. Prominent church figures Artemij, Milutin and High Priest Yosifov also died of the coronavirus. In addition, many high-ranking church officials are known to be infected.
