The new road to Sugovushan continues to be cleared of mines

On November 26-29, the National Agency for Mine Action of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) received information from the "102" Service Call Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs about the discovery of shells in Agjabadi, Agdam, Barda, Fuzuli and Tartar regions. Four appeals were received from the control center. ANAMA reported about it. It was noted that on the basis of 53 calls received, the Agency's special mobile operational teams together with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out 47 operational and urgent operations.
During the search operations, 19 unexploded ordnance (UXO), 48 anti-tank mines, 59 anti-personnel mines, 5 anti-tank mines and 42 exploded shell remnants were found. The road from Tartar region to Sugovushan village is being cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO), 76 anti-tank mines, 118 anti-personnel mines, 6 anti-tank mines, 6 unexploded ordnance (UXO) (total: 206 units) were found and neutralized. The agency's detonation team cleared 64 mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO), and Mine Awareness Specialists conducted mine safety awareness campaigns among 80,141 civilians.
