The UNICEF Office in Azerbaijan has handed over parcels containing medicines and first aid kits to the Association of Territorial Medical Units (MEDICINE) to provide primary health care, medical care to women and children affected by the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.This was reported by a doctor.180 parcels will be delivered to Agdam, Agjabadi and Barda district hospitals.
The others will be distributed to doctors and nurses who will operate in 20 baby-friendly rooms in hospitals in these districts under a joint initiative of UNICEF, MEDICINE and the Regional Development Public Union.The initiative will also provide services for breastfeeding and early childhood development and care.
